Your Curling Iron Size Matters
Ever wonder why your waves look different then when you leave the salon? Always questioning if it’s the hairspray, heat temperature or just something only your stylist can do?
Here’s the deal, you can create the same waves you have the day of appointment, weeks down the road. One huge tip I recommend to all my guests, get the right curling iron for your desired look.
Personally, I love an inch and a quarter sized barrel. It allows me to create a soft undone wave, or beachy textured curls. A curling iron is by far my favorite type of curling tool because of the control I have over the hair as opposed to a wand, and again unlimited amount of curling potential.
If you’re wanting something more undone, and 90’s vibes (think voluminous blow out/Pam Anderson signature look) opt for a curling iron that’s bigger like an inch and a half. Wanting something tighter with a natural curls feel, use an iron smaller like an inch or three fourths of an inch for a fantasy-like style.
So if you’re styling your hair at home and having a hard time, look at your hot tools first to see what your tool can do best. And if you’re wanting to switch it up, look into irons from Bioionic (my fav behind the chair), Bioprogramming, and Hot Tools!
